Description

The 90 Degree Pneumatic Cylinder is a rack and pinion structure. It holds the air in the cylinder, allowing the air pressure to force the piston to rotate the valve control element. It can control quarter-turn products such as butterfly valves, ball valves, plug valves, dampers and more. The actuator has a double acting and spring reset version. The valve positioner and limit switch box can be easily mounted to the actuator using the standard VDI / VDE-3845 top mounting pad. The visual position indicator will monitor the open and closed positions. Rotation adjustment of the open and closed positions is +/- 5%.

The 90 Degree Pneumatic Cylinder is turned on or off by the air supply. The spring return model requires air pressure to be turned on and the inner spring needs to be closed or reversed. The recommended safety factor for double-acting actuators under normal operating conditions is 20%-30%, and the safety factor for spring-return actuators is 30%-50%. The four-way electromagnetic pilot valve is used to control the double acting actuator and the three-way electromagnetic pilot valve for the spring return model. The pilot air should be filtered, dried or lubricated. When viewed from the top of the actuator, the output drive rotates counterclockwise to open.
