For step and servo based units, the position encoder identifies the angular position of the output shaft. The torque motor generates and applies precise torque, which causes the actuator to rotate. However, the motor itself does not actually rotate.

Structure

The electric Rotary Actuators are equipped with a motor in the chamber, and a worm is connected to the output shaft to mesh with the worm gear at the upper end. An intermediate gear is fixedly coupled to the worm wheel shaft to mesh with the transmission gear at the right end thereof. The transmission gear is connected to the power output device through a transmission shaft. The electric actuator uses a two-stage gear transmission, which has a large operating force and can change the direction of the current to achieve positive and negative two-way rotation.
