Product Introduction
This is an Autorun knife gate valve with dual electric-pneumatic actuation, a model we use in our plant for handling abrasive slurries. The top unit is an electric multi-turn actuator with local control buttons, a small display for status feedback, and a mechanical handwheel that lets us operate the valve manually if power is lost. The middle component is a pneumatic cylinder, which we use for quick, fail-safe shutoffs in our process line.
The valve body is ductile iron with a blue epoxy coating to resist corrosion, and the gate is 304 stainless steel, machined to a sharp knife edge. Unlike standard gate valves, this design slices through thick, debris-laden media like sludge or mine tailings instead of trapping solids in the seat, which means fewer jams and leaks over time. We've run these valves continuously on our wastewater and mineral processing lines, where consistent sealing and minimal maintenance are non-negotiable. The dual drive setup is practical here: the electric actuator lets us fine-tune flow rates remotely, while the pneumatic cylinder provides the fast emergency response we need for safety-critical operations.
